I gotta hand it to the 25 year self-proclaimed “spectacularly beautiful and superficial” woman who posted a craigslist ad in the NYC community looking for a sugar daddy earning at least half a million dollars a year: at least she’s honest about being superficial, although I always thought beauty was in the eye of the beholder. After all, there are various “beautiful” super models that I find “quite pretty, but hardly BEAUTIFUL”. Then again, no model’s being draped over my arm so I’m not the one to talk!

Back to our gold digger. She wasn’t happy with her previous date’s $250K earning bracket because it wouldn’t get her “to Central Park West”.

Lo and behold, a mystery banker answered her ad to inform her that the gold digger is a depreciating asset over time and frankly, a poor return on his investment when all is said and done:

“Your looks will fade and my money will likely continue into perpetuity … in fact, it is very likely that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won’t be getting any more beautiful! So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset. Let me explain, you’re 25 now and will likely stay pretty hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you! It doesn’t make good business sense to “buy you” (which is what you’re asking) so I’d rather lease.” from Reuters

Can’t blame a gold digger for trying. (email?)
