Let them play slots

I arrived in the Las Vegas airport and walked through the portal. I readied my amusement for expectant crowds for arriving passengers. The crowds I expected weren't there.

Instead, I heard and saw slot machines neatly lined up like rows of little tin soldiers. People fervently pulling at handles.

I won't be very happy knowing that I might possibly be ungreeted because my friend or relative was too busy at the slot machines to care. I liked Las Vegas a little less.

Seeing what addictive distractions these coin-stuffed metal cans are, I propose we install all DMV offices with slot machines. With the number people I anticipate to be manning these machines instead of waiting in lines, it won't be long before I get my chance at the DMV counter.
